Prehistoric geo formations of Lyari riverbed beckon the intrepid travelers to revel in their beauty. As I did…Venturing deep into the interiors, gazing at the chiseled pillars of many hues. Their surfaces etched with eons of history telling me the stories of the forgotten epochs.

Lyari river originates in Pakistan and remains dry for most of the year. Nestled in Banni grassland behind Dhinodhar hills, Lyari riverbed offers an interesting contrast to the rugged landscape of Kutch in India.

Lyari riverbed reveals the secrets of shifting tectonic plates and acts of erosion. It has carved its rocks into masterpieces over millennia that evoke curiosity.

Nature’s majestic artistry in Lyari riverbed dazzled me.

Unique ancient creations of Lyari riverbed had been the main reason behind my visit to the Kutch region of Gujrat in India. At a distance of around 70 km from Bhuj, Lyari riverbed is supposed to be an easy access. Yet, not being a popular tourist destination taxi drivers were unaware of the location. It took a lot of effort to find a reliable taxi service who made my visit to Lyari riverbed possible.
