Kanhaiya Sthan

Serene and green Kanhaiya Sthan in Jharkhand is one of those places where river Ganga looks so majestic.

Kanhaiya Sthan name is given to the place being this a location of Shri Krishna’s divine dance, the Leela. Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu received the vision of Shri Krishna during his stay at Kanhaiya Sthan in the year 1505, while on his journey to Nabadwip. Devotees from all over the world visit the temple to get the glimpse of the holy footprints of Radha Krishna and Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

Since 1995, the temple property has been managed by Iskcon, the International society for Krishna consciousness. I stayed in Iskcon guest house for three days during my Ganga walks in Sahibganj, Jharkhand.

Long walks along the Ganga while exploring life on its banks and meeting people, I had an unforgettable experience at Kanhaiya Sthan.

Kanhaiya Sthan is around 26 km from Sahibganj.
