Weaving Ganga Stories

I have always been a story teller but I had never thought my all stories will revolve around the sacred river Ganga, one day.

Weaving Ganga stories on foot

My deep relationship with Maa Ganga began with my Atulya Ganga Parikrama, a walkathon for 5600+ km traversing both banks of Ganga. My connection deepened further after the completion of my walkathon in 2021. This epic journey on foot changed the trajectory of my journeys. I became a perennial Ganga walker, weaving unique Ganga stories on foot and showcasing them to the worldwide audience.

My Atulya Ganga Parikrama

In 2022, I walked the Ganga basin differently. Discovered the ancient mountain route between Yamunotri and Gangotri valley. Trekked the whole mountain ridge between both valleys. Trekked to the glacial origin of river Alaknanda, the other headstream of Ganga. Explored Vedic river Saraswati. Walked the Ganga delta Sunderbans in India and Bangladesh.

This year, in 2023 Feb my Ganga walks comprised two Ramsar sites on Ganga. During walks I identified heritage sites along Ganga. Explored the life around Ganga. Walked on several floodplains and met farmers there. I visited four prominent gurukuls as well to experience the gurukul way of education. Interacted with faculties and students there. Gurukuls hold high value in the spiritual ecosystem of Ganga.

During my Ganga walks I raise the awareness on pollution while portraying the engrossing Ganga stories. Some stories move me. Some stories amaze me. Ganga stories enrich my Ganga walks.
